Armand Buzzelli

Armand A. Buzzelli is the President of Buzzelli Advisory Services. Prior to joining B.A.S., Armand held numerous financial, accounting and procurement related management positions in various business segments. Armand has extensive controllership, procurement and management experience in the metals, minerals, and manufacturing sectors as well as the consumer products industry. He has worked for both privately held companies and publicly traded corporations. The majority of Armand’s experience was gained during his twenty three plus years career with Alcoa, Inc. a Fortune 100 global corporation. Key positions held with Alcoa included Division Controller, Business Unit Support Manager, Shared Services Accounting Manager, North American Accounts Payable Manager, Procurement Compliance and Co-Source Accounts Payable Lead (Bangalore, India).

Armand has been recognized for his leadership in the area of business process improvements and best practices implementation. As a Division Controller and Shared Services Accounting Manager, Armand developed a strong knowledge of the budgeting, planning, forecasting and closing processes for numerous Alcoa business segments. During Armand’s tenure as Manager of the Alcoa North American Accounts Payable operation, a leading Process Improvement firm recognized Alcoa’s group as “Best in Class” on several occasions. This level of performance was achieved by a strong focus on working capital conservation, on-time payment percentages, invoice resolution, vendor management and electronic payment methods. In addition, Armand was responsible for unclaimed property recoveries of over $5 million USD in a six year period. During his time as a Procurement Compliance manager, he was responsible for supporting spend reduction initiatives, leveraged buying programs, purchase order and contractual agreement compliance. Armand has also an extensive background in SOX compliance, creation of policies and procedures as well as tax compliance.

Armand is a graduate of Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School and Robert Morris University, where he currently serves as a member of the ACT 101 Advisory Board.

Tony Buzzelli

Anthony J. Buzzelli is the CEO of Buzzelli Advisory services. Prior to joining B.A.S., Anthony held numerous management and leadership positions. Anthony retired from Deloitte in 2011 as senior partner, after spending his entire 40-year career at Deloitte in several key positions, including vice chairman, national managing partner of U.S. Regions, managing partner for the Pacific Southwest Region based in Los Angeles, and managing partner for the Central Atlantic Region based in Washington, D.C. He also served on Deloitte’s board of directors, its Executive Committee, and its Operating Committee.

Always active in his local community, his philanthropic activities have ranged from serving as an instructor for Junior Achievement to taking part in Deloitte's annual IMPACT Day. In California since 2003, Buzzelli served on the boards of United Way of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, the World Affairs Council, and the San Gabriel Valley Boy Scouts. He was a trustee of the California Science Center and chairman of Leadership LA. Currently, he serves as chair of Semester at Sea, and sits on the board of a nine-hospital integrated healthcare organization and a large member-services entity.

A lifelong supporter of Penn State, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Buzzelli served as the inaugural chair of Smeal's Accounting Advisory Board and is a member of the college's Board of Visitors. In 2003, Penn State named Buzzelli its Accounting Alumnus of the Year.
